It is interesting how many animals lay an egg, of course it is widely known that all the bird arts even penguins and reptiles. If you would just have found an egg then you have to be cautious and be ready to any surprises, you never know what will hatch out of it.
Eggs are the most interesting things and even until now it is not clear what was first an egg or a chicken :)
Considering chickens come from earlier more reptilian birds that also lay eggs, then we can be sure that the first chicken hatched from an egg that was laid by non-chicken. Therefore egg was first :o)
