Analogy Of Smoking : From An Artists Soul #2
When you tell people not to do something they are meant to follow it.
For example:
The ghutka Mukesh advertisement puts a lot of light on the dark reality. But, does it have an impact? Does it refrain you from smoking?
At the beginning, people closed their eyes during the advertisement. Later they got so used to it that it doesn’t matter. It’s like you cough when you smoke for the first time, but then you get addicted and start loving it, knowing it’s bad for you.
A person willing to stop smoking, will do it no matter what. But, a person who has no will, will continue to do so. Reading the packet label will not stop him/her.
When you remind them of the advertisement, you’ll mostly hear them say “Abaah, doesn’t matter”, “I’ve been smoking since long, nothing happened to me”, “Shut up, don’t bother me with such things”, “Nothing will happen”, etc.
Probably, they’d never realise it or face it’s consequences. One of the way to refrain them from this practice is a friend forcing them to stop and telling them that we’d ditch smoking today or some close friend telling them sternly to “Stop it”, “Arey math kar yaar”, “Even I’m not doing it and my health is improved”, “Stop doing it, someone who did had got this disease”, etc.
#youknow #stopsmoking
P.S.- I know it’s just another post for most of you. Because you have attitude.
