RE: I've been working less, and the returns are immense. An actually personal blog post.
I think your dream job point above, about creating a way to filter out the "fake news" as it were is interesting, and one that I think Steem based platforms will have to contend with soon enough. Even now, if you look through trending, there are lots of conspiracy theory posts. While they are "harmless" it shows the vulnerability of the system to tampering simply by a bad actor buying their way to Trending with SP.
Yup. I've lots of thoughts on this—mostly pet theories. Steemit has been in beta for a really long time, and you can only do really well as a content-creator if you're networking, and networking is not easy here. I think it's purposeful, like a weird ecosystem they've made so that if you've got the capacity—the white paper calls it "proof-of-brain"—you'll make it work, anddddd truly add value to the blockchain.
It'll be interesting to see the future platforms built off the blockchain. Can't remember who said it, but someone said that if people keep using Steemit (the interface) then they will have failed. They want people to build something better and move on from Condenser (the Steemit UI)
Totally something to discuss further when we and @samhutch grab that drink soon!
Exactly! I peruse here, but it’s python for real work. I will resist saying anything about the white paper I’m writing here, for now lol.
