West Ham vs Arsenal
Declan Rice scores his first goal for West Ham as they saw off Arsenal in a 1-0 victory.
Arsenal got the first good shot to score in the 13th minute. With Iwobi finding Lacazette, who blasts a shot towards goal but the keeper parries it. Lacazette was able to meet the rebound but sends it wide over the bar.
Arsenal start looking dangerous each time they break forward but West Ham hold strong defensively and they respond well to the opposition's pressure.
West Ham almost create a goal of their own in the 33rd minute but were let down by their finishing. Anderson's shot from 20 yards going just wide of the left post by a few inches.
West Ham are unable to convert another very good chance before the break. West Ham winning a corner in first half added time. Rice was set up very well with a fine corner kick but sends his header wide of the far post.
After a first half that looked a little bit slow, West Ham waste no time in opening up their opponents in the second. Declan Rice finding the net 3 minutes into the second half. Nasri setting up Rice; who places the ball in the top right corner.
Arsenal continue to have problems in going forward and West put a lot of effort in trying to keep the ball in the Arsenal half.
West Ham eventually close the game with Arsenal unable to find a way back into it.
