So why are we not tearing them down, relocating them to a museum or storage facility?

I guess there are sooooo many other petty and ridiculous things we've been designed/programmed to argue over that real reasons to fight for are left in the wind.

I mean, the U.S. is being presented around the world as being on the brink of it's second Civil War - over fighting and arguing and protesting over monuments to the first Civil War.
