SLC28-W2 // Lentils Soup

Hey guys welcome to my blog again, today I want to take part in this week learning challenge, I learn a new method of cooking lentils and its very nice and nutritional to give it a trial.

Ingredients

  • Brown beans
  • Green beans
  • Honey beans
  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • Ginger paste
  • Tomato
  • Carrot
  • Scent leaves
  • Cabbage
  • Turmeric
  • Cumin Powder
  • Zera Powder
  • Black pepper
  • Bay leaf
  • Paprika powder
  • Salt
  • Butter

Soak the 3 lentils in water

After some minutes,pour it to the pot and cook it

Add all the veggies and continue boiling

Add the spices as well and allow it to simmer, after some minutes it was done so I put it aside for it to cool while I prepared another pot to fry.

Add butter to pot, allow it to melt then add leaf and garlic paste and fry for some minutes.

I mashed the lentils, I tried to make It smooth but it was this way and I still very nice. I added the lentils to the fry pan and stir

what challenges do you face during making the soup and in list the prices of each ingredients in your local currency and steem

I didn't have any challenges aside from there was no electricity as at the time I made my soup so I couldn't blend the lentil, I only mashed it but It wasn't very smooth. Even with that it was nice.

Lentil soup is full with nutrients and it is a comfortable meal one can enjoy during cold weather. It contains

  • Protein; lentils are good source of protein that helps in repairing body tissues it helps in building immunity and it helps the stomach to stay full for a long time.
  • Dietary Fiber; This dietary fibre helps in digestion which will prevent constipation It also helps in controlling sugar level in the body.
  • Iron; lentil contains iron which helps in supplying energy to the body preventing tiredness then for some people who do not have money to purchase meats, lentil provides iron to their body.
  • Folate (Vitamin B9)their presence of followed helps in blood formation it supports healthy brain It is very essential to the body.
  • Antioxidants lentils are good s of antioxidants as it helps to fight inflammation in the body promoting a healthy body.
  • Low Fat but High Nutrition although lentils have oil, it's oil is not heavy but it is very nutritious.

In all lentils are nutritious meal everyone need to eat.

My experience;
I prepared this lentil in the evening and over here the morning and evening hours is always very cold so after eating the lentil soup I was warm.
