The South Korean government has banned state
The South Korean government has banned state employees from using crypto currency, even if their activities in this area are not related to work. According to the document "Digital currency holdings and information related to transactions for civil servants", the recruitment department urges state employees to refrain from owning and trading the digital currency, even if it is not related to the nature of their activities. As the source of Maeil Business Newspaper reports, a representative of one of the local HR departments explained that while engaged in trading, employees of state institutions "violate the prohibition on reimbursement of obligations under the law of civil servants", especially if trade is carried out during working hours. However, each state institution can independently interpret the prohibition of crypto currency and choose to recover from its employees for its violation. The Financial Services Commission of South Korea (FSC), the Commerce Commission and other relevant departments have already warned their employees about the need to "refrain from investing in the digital currency." Previously, South Korea has repeatedly "twisted nuts" for the users of crypto-currencies. A bill was approved that requires public officials to disclose information about their investments in crypto currency due to suspicions that some of them were engaged in insider trading, using personal access to future bills in this area and manipulating the market. In addition, a procedure for mandatory identification of users with a link to a registered bank account was introduced at all the South Korean currency exchange. Bursaries are prohibited from working with under-age citizens of the country and foreigners.
