Ghetto culture according to Sowell.

Thomas Sowell claims the corrosive ghetto culture to be an appropriation of Scots-Irish (and related) settlers redneck culture .

I find many similarities to poorer peoples culture, where honor and face is worth dying over, where people indulge in these honor narratives to the death, often dying over simple things like minor driving infractions.

I feel I know this mentality very well, having spent my first 80% of my life there.
