Comment & Post Farming Report 10/29/2017
This is a little late and not much of a report. I removed about $100 in rewards yesterday for spam. You can check the accounts and activity here:
https://steemd.com/@spaminator
https://steemd.com/@celestial
SteemSQL is back up and the data is syncing. I'll be using data from @beerbot later today to find and remove payouts.
I'm still seeing over 300 posts & comments a day. I'm hoping that this will soon die down as the rewards are removed so I can spend time creating alternate methods of tracking these rings. @arcange provides a wonderful service to the community but as the last few days has shown me, relying on one method can throw a big monkey wench into the works when it goes down.
As far as I can tell I can see no posts or comments that I need help with removing payouts although I did miss some yesterday. I'm also in need of automating the calculation for removing payouts. Right now I'm feeding my bot in groups and manually adjusting the downvote weight with spreadsheet calculations. Faster than doing it by hand but it still takes more time than I would like when I have 300-400 posts & comments to downvote.
I want to thank @teamsteem for his post "Spaminator Needs Your Help." I appreciate all the support the community has shown this project.

i dont understand... do spam comes in wallet too ??
Without your continuous efforts & contributions Steemit would be a very different place, and not for the better either. Thank you, Patrice, and all the spaminator & SteemCleaners members.
Do you already have a bot that automatically downvotes these spams? Or a developer working with you on it?
I Delegated 500 SP! I hope this goes well!
It will be great to get rid of as much spam as possible so that quality work does not get buried. We also need to maintain the reputation of Steemit as a place that delivers quality content.
Why @steemcleaners doesn't help you? This is their work, isn't it?
I'm both the creator of @spaminator and a founding member of @steemcleaners. I helped set up the original scope of abuse @steemcleaners handles.
Changing that scope to add something like self voting and vote trails is a bit of a slippery slope. It strays into content moderation that is specifically excluded from @steemcleaners scope.
I get a lot of negative comments and DM's about @steemcleaners not taking on certain problems such as self-voting and settling disputes. I firmly believe that there shouldn't be a centralized group to handle any and all abuse. Straying into subjective areas not supported by the majority of the community or taking the wrong side in a dispute could jeopardize all the good we do in the community with our current scope.
Hi @patrice iv found a couple spam accounts that you should look into. They are ruining the new feed every 10 minutes >.<
