• El terror es uno de los géneros más interesantes porque se vale de la emoción más primitiva que poseemos las personas para narrar historias. Me gustan mucho las películas de este género, ya que, cuando están hechas como es debido, dejan de ser solo lo que ves en pantalla y se meten en tu cabeza para convertirse también en un reflejo de lo que ves cuando estás solo como por al menos un mes. En esta ocasión vengo a hablarles del fenómeno de este verano: la adaptación cinematográfica del libro "It" (Eso) de Stephen King.

 Terror is one of the most interesting genres because it uses the most primitive emotion that people have to tell stories. I really like movies of this genre, because when they are done properly,  they stop being just what you see on the screen and they get into your head to also become a reflection of what you see when you are alone for at least, a month. This time i will talk about the phenomenon this summer: the film adaptation of the book "It"  by Stephen King.
 

• La película se centra en la primera parte de la historia, que narra las experiencias paranormales de un grupo de niños conocido como "El Club de los Perdedores" -quienes comparten mucho más que una lucha contra una sociedad en la cual no logran encajar- y se desarrolla en la ciudad fictícia de Derry: un lugar lleno de misterios, cuya atmósfera no es menos que envolvente. 

  The  film focuses on the first part of the story, which tells the paranormal  experiences of a group of children known as "The Losers Club" - who  share much more than a struggle against a society in which they can not  fit - and It takes place in the fictional city of Derry: a place full of mysteries, whose atmosphere is nothing less than enveloping.
 

                               

• Puesto que es un libro muy largo, el plan original fue hacer una trilogía, no obstante se terminó por decidir que iban a ser dos las partes en que se dividiría la adaptación. Hubo también una versión a finales del siglo pasado en formato de mini serie, sin embargo se tomó varias licencias en la producción de la historia, alterando muchos de los sucesos originales; esto puedo señalarlo como punto a favor para la más reciente, pues -aunque no he leído el libro- he leído que no escatima en cuanto a fidelidad a la obra original.

  Since  it is a very long book, the original plan was to make a trilogy,  however it was finally decided that there were going to be two parties  in which the adaptation would be divided. There  was also a version at the end of the last century in mini-series  format, however it took several licenses in the production of the story,  altering many of the original events; I can point this out as a point in favor of the most recent,  because - although I have not read the book - I have read that it does  not skimp on fidelity to the original work.
 

• Entrando un poco más en materia, puedo decir que a nivel de película, me gustó la manera en que trabajaron. Su punto más fuerte es, según mi opinión, el hecho de que es un trabajo muy prolijo. Supieron aprovechar todo lo que tenían y lo juntaron de manera que todo funcionara sólidamente. Las actuaciones de los perdedores logran hacerte empatizar mientras que las de los bullys te llenan de impotencia. 

 Entering a little more in subject matter, I can say that at the movie level, I liked the way they worked. The strongest point is, in my opinion, the fact that it is a very neat work. They knew how to take advantage of everything they had and put it together so that everything worked solidly. The  performance of the losers manage to make you empathize while those of the bullys fill you with impotence. 

                     

• Las puestas en escena son hermosas, ya que poseen paletas de colores muy vívidas y se integran muy bien a la temática retro. Además, los efectos especiales estan en su mayoría muy bien logrados. 

 The stagings are beautiful, as they have very vivid color palettes and integrate very well with the retro theme. In addition, special effects are mostly very well achieved. 

• Lo único de lo que me quejo es de que la película tiene ciertas escenas donde parecen desvariar un poco, pero es perdonable por que se trata de una obra que busca exponer esa parte de nosotros mismos a la que le huímos, pero que tarde o temprano tenemos que afrontar. Quizás leyendo el libro pueda explorar un poco más esa faceta de la historia.

  The only thing I  complain about is that the movie has certain scenes where they seem to  rant a little, but it is forgivable because it is a work that seeks to  expose that part of ourselves that we fled to, but that sooner or later we have to face.  Maybe reading the book i could explore this facet of history a little more. 

                            

• En cuanto a Pennywise, el "villano" si se me da permiso decirlo: a pesar de la excelente actuación de Bill Skarsgård, puedo decir que le faltó un poco más de seriedad para compararse con esos personajes que verdaderamente Regan MacNeil me Regan MacNeil tocaron Regan MacNeil. Luego de la brutal escena de apertura, no es sino hasta bien avanzada la película que deja esos tintes de payaso loco y vuelve a perturbarme. Aunque no culpo a nadie en la producción si para ciertos gustos no logra recuperarse, debido a que la escena inicial fue omitida por su crudeza en la versión del siglo pasado.

 As for  Pennywise, the "villain" if I'm allowed to say it: despite the excellent  performance of Bill Skarsgård, I can say that he lacked a little more  seriousness to compare with those characters that really Regan MacNeil touched Regan MacNeil me Regan MacNeil. After the brutal opening scene, it is not until well advanced the film that he leaves those crazy clown tints and disturbs me again. Although  I do not blame anyone in the production if for certain tastes it fails to recover, because the initial scene was omitted for its crudeness in the version of the last century.

                           

• En fin, It es una buena película. No es mi favorita de este género, pero no me cuesta guardarle cariño. Te la recomiendo si eres fan de King o solo quieres ver una película de terror que sea de verdad diferente a lo que estás acostumbrado.

 Anyway, "It" Is a good movie. It is not my favorite of this genre, but it does not cost me to keep affection. I recommend it to you if you're a King fan or just want to see a horror movie that is really different from what you're used to.
