The new Marvel film Spider-Man: Homecoming is set to be one of 2017's biggest movies. When we think of Spider-Man, most of us think of Stan Lee. However, the design on the obverse of this 25 Dollar silver coin is the work of John Mercanti. Mercanti is extremely well-known for his designs and his time as Chief Engraver of the U.S. Mint. His initials can be found in the lower portion of the design. Spider-Man is shown swinging forward and the background is filled with a large web. This side is inscribed with the silver content, Marvel copyright, and the name of the movie.
