The number of different Spider-Man and other spider-themed heroes that appear in "Across the Spider-Verse" is practically difficult to keep count of, much like the endless Spider-Verse itself.

  • Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) and Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld) are reunited in the new film, and Miles learns about the Spider Society—a group of Spider-People who guard the multiverse. Miguel O'Hara (Oscar Isaac), a Spider-Man who lives in 2099's futuristic Nueva York, and Jessica Drew (Issa Rae), a pregnant Spider-Woman who drives a motorcycle, serve as the team's leaders. Along with his young daughter Mayday, Jake Johnson's Peter B. Parker stars in "Into the Spider-Verse," along with Pavitr Prabhakar (Karan Soni), who goes by the alias Spider-Man India, Hobie Brown (Daniel Kaluuya), who goes by the alias Spider-Punk, and Margo Kess (Amandla Stenberg), who is in charge of Spider-Byte, a virtual superhero.

Although "Across the Spider-Verse" links to past "Spider-Man" films and television shows, keen-eyed fans will also spot a ton of blink-and-you-miss-it cameos from comic book characters. Among them are a Taran Killam-voiced Web-Slinger who rides a horse named Widow and is dressed as a cowboy; Andy Samberg as the dramatic clone Ben Reilly; Yuri Lowenthal's Spider-Man from the PlayStation video game series; the sentient Spider-Mobile, also known as Peter Parkedcar; Pter Ptarker, also known as Spider-Rex; and a plethora of other Spider-characters.

With the release of this film, all Spider-Man iterations, including the earlier live-action films, are now interwoven in a vast, multiverse web. The connections between the Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and even Tom Hardy's "Venom" spinoff films were made in "Spider-Man: No Way Home," but "Across the Spider-Verse" goes even further. Find a list of some of the new film's most significant cameos and crossovers below.
