Life And Death Are In Your Tongue
Hello, lovely family. Good morning to you all, welcome to my blog.
This morning, I want to speak on the topic that says Life and death are in your tongue
I will be reading from the book of Proverbs, chapter 18:20-21. I will be using the King James version of the bible to read.
20 A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
These are the words of the lord that were written under the power of the holy spirit. The word of God is yes and amen, and it can't be diluted by any man.
If you look at verse twenty of this scripture, you would discover that the bible says that a man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.
But what exactly is this place saying? It's saying that whatever a man says with his mouth, he will actually get the result of the words he speaks.
This means you shouldn't make negative declarations about yourself, children, and people around you.
Most people do not know how far their mouths could take them. Your mouth could bring good tidings to you, if you use it positively, but if you use it otherwise, it might not end well for you and your family.
Verse twenty-one says it all. It says that death and life are in the power of the tongue and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
Some years back, I didn't know that our tongues are powerful. I used to think that if parents cause their children because of the way they insult them, it won't work.
But I've lived in different places where parents caused their children more, day and night. And I've come to understand that those causes work like magic.
I've been observing those children lately, and I saw how useless they have become in life. It's not because they don't have anything to do, but the cause stops them from flourishing.
So I've concluded that indeed there's power in our tongues. Never thought that those words you say aren't powerful. Of course they are, if you didn't know.
I've been hearing people say in my language ( Ibibio language) spoken in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. They do say "Mkpo iso i quod aba mfad mfad." This simply means that anywhere they go, maybe to look for a job, or to embark on a certain business that others do to survive.
But in their own case, when they go, they would tell them they're done with the job interview. And for the person who wanted to join a business, he would be caught in the process of doing the same illegal business that others were doing.
Remember there's power in your tongue, so be careful of what you use your tongue to say. If it doesn't affect you today, it will tomorrow.
