Interesting conversation, I definitely agree we need to look at the bible as a whole, and even in the nooks where we question its relevance to us. Maybe, we need to focus on those areas. Because absolutely, God made the bible for us, and the truth in the book is for all people, at all times, not just for a certain people or time.

The Word lives, and applies even when we struggle to undestand how it applies.

In all things... this quote is no exception, we are to trust the Lord, and where He leads, and the challenges He places before us. Go forth and multiply was a command, not a suggestion.

Just to check in with where you are at though, when you refer to castration? I assume you are referring to vasectomy, because I have NEVER heard of people castrating themselves, but certainly LOTS of men pay for a vasectomy.
