Starting out on Steemit 9 Months Ago
Never did I think that posting one video on Steemit
would evolve into $100,000 balance. But it did, and I thank you all for following, commenting and joking around with me for so long. Really, this is just the beginning as the paper monetary system becomes as common as an 8-track-tape.

This was the hook, line, and sinker for me.

I was messing around with this strange new site called @steemit and I posted a funny video I had seen earlier in the day. There I was, treating Steemit.com as if it were Twitter or something.

I waited, biting my nails...
Is that real money? Is Steem listed on Poloniex? Will they really pay me? When can I spend it? No, it's a scam. It's got to be a scam. I hope it's not a scam!
A day later (I think it paid out a day later back then), I had Steem in my account and I transferred it directly out to the exchange to sell it. Five minutes after the money arrived at the exchange, I thought to myself, "Wait, this could be the start of a new social revolution!"
The buck stops here!
My steem came back to the platform and here we are.
early adoption is a beautiful thing

This is my first week in steemit, after nine months i'll be happy with 100 dollars. So far I earned less than 10 cents. But I will keep trying to make my posts better and learn from all you steemers. up vote here....
It is so so cool to see someone that is just as excited 9 months in, as I am as a new poster! Hoping I will still be just as excited 9 months from now!
There were some times when I made really time consuming posts which did not get any attention. Consistency is the key. Keep posting like your first one and you will succeed! Upvoted.
I love your post i just upvoterd you scotty 777
Thanks! You are consistent ! Loved this one.
That's a good observation @sponge-bob. I've been finding that the shorter and more easily digested posts attract more attention than the larger ones that sometimes consume days of thought, effort, research and preparation.
I've been trying to strike a balance between the two and, as you say, keep consistently producing content to attract an interested audience.
I just took a look at the video in your old post. Haha! Cracked me up! Very funny! Thanks I needed that.
Yeah, I can't watched it without turning purple. I am a gun fan living in a gun-free country for 17 years - brings back memories.
Your right, Steem is here to stay, all I have I made here on SteemIt. I did unfortunately take a couple months break due to some unforseeable issues that arose but your right, the more consistant I was at the better my posts had been doing. Having returned I kind of wished I had not had to walk away for those couple months.
Glad to see you have still stuck it out and your balance deffinatly does show all your hard work you have done. Keep up your hard work.
I intend to post every day but things get in the way. Lately I have been writing my posts after the kids go to sleep. They get done quicker and I post them in the morning or evening when my followers are on line. Someday, I will have global followers and will get noticed no matter the time -hehe.
Thanks for commenting.
Your welcome! I tend to just post my blogs whenever I'm done working on them! Was not into blogging prior to SteemIt, but that might also be some thing to consider, the timing of when to post.
Congrats! I think these are the kinds of stories that a lot of people will be saying in the near future. Which will only make growing that much easier! Congrats! :)
Damnnn!! It's always nice to hear stories such as these! Good job! I joined in August last year, but I wasn't motivated enough to stay. After 4 months, I'm back now and I plan on posting and connecting with a lot of people! Following you! :D
very inspiring post! indeed social revolution is here!! and we are part of it :)
Oh man, I loved reading this! It gives us little minnows hope for the future lol. Thanks for the inspiration!!
Amazing story, I hope I can live this dream one day. Shit like this gives me inspiration. Followed, toss me one back if you so wish.
@tokar854
$100,000 in 10 months.
Talk about motivation!
So glad to know members staying here.
Been 2 weeks here and I already love it. Reward is secondary though I wouldn't mind some good dollars for my effort.
Much needed post at 3 am. Lol. :)
And Followed - Nice blog!
Man, you moved me!
Thank you!
As someone coming from India, seeing these $$$ go up offers a sense of satisfaction.
Following you now and wish you more and more success.
I am pulling an all-nighter to write, engage, and connect with more people here. It's a bumpy ride initially but all in good fun! :)
Thanks again!
