The Paris Saint-Germain Football Club, abbreviated as Paris Saint-Germain FC, commonly known as Paris Saint-Germain or PSG, is a French football club belonging to the sports club of the same name, based in Saint-Germain-en-Laye and whose professional section is in Paris.

The date of foundation of the club is questionable, that of 1970 regularly advanced corresponding in fact more to the name change of the Stade saint-germanois, founded in 1904, in Paris Saint-Germain Football Club following the rapprochement with the association Paris Football Club, investment group created in 1969 with the aim of reforming a professional team in the capital.
