First of all, I must say I had no idea these two sports existed 🫣. In my country, we don't have winter, so it's not something we usually watch, or at least not me. From what you describe, they sound very interesting.

Something similar happens to me with sports in general. I might not be actively looking to watch the Olympics, but if I stumble across a broadcast, it's very likely to grab my attention and I'll watch it for a while. Athletes always surprise us with their abilities.

These kinds of events are intense; many things happen simultaneously, and not everything is broadcast. There are sports I'm interested in watching, but sometimes I simply forget about them because everything happens so fast.

There was a time when television programs (when there were no online platforms, that was all we had) were, in a way, educational. I remember an excellent commentator who was a teacher; he had a vast knowledge of each sport, and every broadcast he was on was a joy.
