I've always had a difficult time seeing golf as a team sport. I haven't followed the Ryder Cup very closely, but I will say this...there's way too much drama listed above. The team should have been built around guys who were solid in their mindset and not prone to drama...they failed to do so. They failed to put their issues aside, and it looks like they paid for it.
Tiger , Bubba and Reed are all lone wolfs! I agree with your view about a team event but the captains pair ups for the foursomes are definitely crucial when it comes to the event as the players have to complement each other’s game! Thanks for the comment! They did indeed pay for it! 😀
Yes, they did. I also think that sometimes Americans go into events like this with an air of superiority...they seem to think they've got it won before the game even starts. Other countries try to take advantage of this over confidence. I've seen it happen in a lot of international team sports...and I'm sure that in the Ryder Cup, America is the team everyone really wants to go after.
