The making of a Champion

in #sports7 years ago

Yayy! My all time tennis hero has just won his 20th Grand slam at the Australian Open 2018. Yes…I’m talking about Roger Federer.

Over the years I have watched him in numerous Grand Slams where he has won and lost too. In all scenarios I am always amazed how this man can always maintain his calmness and stay cool all the time. Right to the last point, this man is never shaken. While his fans like me will be biting our nails and grinding our teeth, hoping that he will win the next point, I have not seen this man faltered. From the start of the game till the end he has always managed to maintain his cool. I am pretty sure this is his secret to success...keeping cool and calm!

A is champion never born, it is many years of sheer hardwork, sacrifices, perseverance, dedication, positive attitude and concentration and always striving for excellence. All the positive words you can find in a dictionary!

I strive to aquire some of Roger's positive attitude, not in tennis but to be a Champion in my own life.

Keep calm and Slam on!

Thanks girl r the update @lianmok as I am also a tennis fan but have not been following it of late since my partner is into some other kind of sports, hence no time to watch tennis.

Great! At least now I know someone share the liking for tennis! Will post more of other sports stuff later!

Hi @lianmok! Glad to find someone who is a tennis fan too! I like Roger Federer too? Another one of my fav is Rafael Nadal. I used to watch live all the 4 Grand Slams yearly; either in Sports Bar or at home (atmosphere different tho) but now with kids, can only read/watch about it online. The timing susah to follow ;)

Hi @almost5feet4. Yes Rafael is my next favourite that is only when Roger is out 😁. But I enjoy watching both of them playing against each other. One so cool and calm the other a little temperamental.

Keep Calm and Steem On! -- a note to myself too! ;)
