You are right but still solid. 13 years in the league he is not getting better but still solid. 13.5 points, 12.5 boards, 1.2 blocks, 30 minutes a game and played 74 games. That's a solid stat line. It has to be locker room presence. You don't trade away those numbers and friendly contract for literally nothing. When he was a Laker I remember all kinds of emotional hurt feelings from him. Agreed! He was in his prime with Orlando...and he was THE MAN. Led them to the Finals. But it did not seem like he wanted to embrace that roll or the pressure. With the Lakers he could not take the Kobe criticism and was not the main option. Sometimes not even the #2 option as Gasol was there. Then in Houston he just didn't mesh well with Harden. And his one year with the Hawks tell you something. The new GM is from Golden State and he wants to bring a positive culture to the locker room. Something Howard has trouble doing. Plus they needed to dump his salary to resign Milsap. It's going to be interesting to see how he fits in with the Hornets. As Jordan wants to win.
