Don't feed the Jack Doherty troll fight

in #sports22 hours ago

I don't know a great deal about Jack Doherty other than the fact that he purely represents a lot of what is wrong in the world. He got his rise to fame by being a "nuisance streamer" that would make other people's lives difficult, acting like a jackass in public to get a rise out of people, then when the people would react he would hide behind his hired gigantic bodyguard.

This, as sad as it sounds, made the guy a ton of money.

I think he has taken a hit as of late and since he is too small and probably too undisciplined to pursue Jake Paul boxing style of money, he was a the Paul v. Joshua fight and got involved in a scuffle in the hallway with a UFC ex-champion in his late 40's.

It is said by many that this douchebag has the "world's most punchable face." I agree. I don't follow him, don't really have anything to do with him, but I do know that a bunch of YouTubers, who are probably also douchebags themselves, were celebrating his financial downfall after he made some mistakes that I don't care enough about to look it up.

I did notice him in the stands at the Paul v. Joshua fight though and the camera briefly stopped by him as they tend to when celebrities go to these sorts of things.

Later on in the hallway of the actual fight a small and kind of week-looking "brawl" took place when Jack Doherty lightly bumped into Andrei Arlovski, then Arlovski just turned around and then one of Jack's people took a swing at the dude.

It all seemed really staged to me because Arovski barely makes contact with any of these people and I get it, he is older, but this is a guy that is currently training for a bare-knuckle boxing match. He CAN hit you hard enough to kill you but his punches looked pulled, weak, and staged. He throws a shot at the security guard and it looks like it doesn't even make contact and the security doesn't really respond either.

I'll post the video in a second so you can see what I am talking about. At the end of the video because Jack Doherty claims they were filming unrelated content at the time, you can hear Jack say "who the hell was that guy?"

Now, of course, they are using this publicity to announce a boxing match between Arlovski and Jack's security guard. W...T....F....

We were just getting out from under the fake boxing BS with Jake Paul's vicious defeat and now we have other asshole streamers that are already jumping at the chance to take that place.

We have only ourselves to blame, people (sadly, including me) turned in to see Jake Paul matches not because we wanted to see great boxing performances, but because we wanted to see Jake get his head knocked off. It took a long time, but we ended up getting something like that over the weekend.

I apologize ahead of time for the poor quality of this video and that annoying voice-over but I cannot find a raw cut, and don't care enough to look for it more than I already have

Doherty has already been trying to build a hype train for a boxing match promotion between his bodyguard and Andrei Arlovski. Arlovski's "management" has agreed to the fight all too quickly for any of this not to have been staged.

Aren't we tired of staged bullcrap fights enough yet? I know I am.

So even though that for the public at large this will likely fall on deaf ears I sincerely hope that most people will just let this story die and we won't have to be subjected to it. But the problem here is that after a lifetime of excellence and championships, Arlovski has nowhere near the net worth of some dickhead streamer who annoys people for a living. Andrei could probably use the money and honestly, it really wouldn't surprise me if this entire thing was scripted and pre-arranged.
