Indiana and Seattle force a game 3 in their respective WNBA tournament
The first round of the tournament is only 3 games, a virtually unheard of amount but hell, if your league is making no money having more than 1 is too many... I suppose having the tournament at all is a waste of money, or the league for that matter!
But I started the season out as a semi-fan and now I am going to ride that wave out. We don't have much longer to go.
Having Seattle Storm geta surprise win over the Las Vegas Aces, who are the number 2 team predicted to make the final, was a surprise and a winner. There are many that are speculating that the Las Vegas Aces didn't take the game seriously because they didn't need to win but now in the next game they definitely need to win or they go back home early.
I would bet the farm on the Aces winning the next game. I think that it is commonly the WNBA strategy to let the other team burn a bunch of talent and run up the score while you sit back with the superior team and just bide your time. I suppose it is somewhat risky.

It was close the entire game with neither team getting more than a few points out in front until Seattle went on a run in the 4th that I believe the Aces thought they were going to do. Oh well, they can't BOTH do it and Seattle came out on top 86-83 with Skylar Diggens playing almost every second of the game and scoring 26 point including going 4-6 from the 3 point line.
The bigger story was Indiana getting a huge victory over Atlanta Dream which is a really big deal because they won by 17, dominated the entire game even from the opening tip off and especially during a 9 point run in the 3rd quarter it looked like Atlanta didn't have an answer for the run-and-gun style of play Indiana was executing the tit for tat passing back and forth between Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell with and occasional pass out to Lexie Hull to keep the defense guessing.
It was a one-sided affar that saw the Indiana fans cheering like mad.
Its still far from over though, there is another game that must be played in both these series and that is the game that is going to really count. My money is on the Aces for a damn near sure win on one side and well, I think Indiana might just pull off an upset and that would be wild if they did so seeing as how most of their team is only temporarily on the team due to injuries.
The last 2 games in these series will happen on Thursday Night one game after the other on ESPN2.

My prediction is Minnesota, New York, Las Vegas, and Indiana advancing from first round and two of those will be determined in just 5 and 7 hours from now.
I have Minnesota playing Las Vegas in the Finals and Minnesota winning the entire thing 4-1 in the best of 7 i the final. What do you have? Probably nothing but lets talk anyway!
They are being very guarded about how many people are watching these games but they are pretending they don't have the information and are guessing 1.3 million per game ... so go ahead and cut that number in half because it sounds bogus. The stands look reasonably full so we can guess about 12-15 thousand attendees at the actual games. This is good news and lets try to not fuck it up with our horrible attitudes girls! Atlanta should have no trouble filling their stadium that only holds a pathetic 3,500 spectators!
