Premier League Review
What a weekend we had in the English Premier League!!
The weekend kicked off with new boys Brighton paying a visit to the London stadium when they faced West Ham. West Ham’s struggles continue as they got beaten 0-3 thanks to a brace from Glen Murray and a late first half goal from Jose Izquierdo.
Saturday was packed with fixtures. The 3 big ones were the matches between Chelsea and Watford, Man United vs Huddersfield and Man City vs Burnley.
Chelsea hosted Watford at the Bridge and what a match it was. At half time Watford was level at 1-1, but took the lead very early in the first half. It looked like we would see another upset from this impressive Watford team. This lead was not to last though. Substitute Michy Batshuayi scored twice to give Chelsea a thrilling come-from-behind victory. The match ended 4-2.
Leicester was able to edge a 1-2 win over Swansea, Bournemouth beat Stoke away 1-2 and Newcastle scored a late goal to secure a 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace.
Manchester City is showing no signs of slowing down and comfortably won 3-0 against Burnley with goals coming from Aguero, Otamendi and Sane. This win put them 5 points clear at the top of the table.
The shock of the day came when Man United travelled to Huddersfield. Everyone expected a standard victory for Jose Mourinho’s men, but it was not to be. Within 33 minutes United found themselves 2-0 down and it looked like a mountain to climb to turn the match around. The only goal came from Marcus Rashford, but it was too little too late. This was United’s first league defeat of the season and they have to now catch up with City to stay in contention for the title.
A wonderful solo goal from Sofiane Boufal earned Southampton a 1-0 win at home to West Bromwich Albion.
Sunday gave us 2 big clashes. And we saw many goals.
Arsenal traveled to Merseyside to take on Everton. Rooney repeated history by scoring against Arsenal again and put Everton 1-0 up early in the match. This fortune was not to continue as Ozil, Sanchez and Lacazette played some beutiful football to stun the Toffees. The match ended 2-5 in Arsenal's favour.
The last match of the weekend was Spurs vs Liverpool. Spurs have overcome their bad fortune at Wembley and beat Liverpool 4-1. Harry Kane found the back of the net twice with his first goal coming in only 4 minutes. Spurs outclassed Liverpool in almost every aspect of the game. It was a completely opposite performance from the team who won 7-0 only 5 days earlier.

As a Liverpool fan I'm pretty depressed. Shocking performance. Mignolet made some shocking mistakes. The defence was even worse. (I'm looking at you Lovren) Chamberlain and Salah played alright on the slightly positive side.
I can understand your pain friend. And i agree. Mignolet made very bad decisions and Lovrens performance was unacceptable from a professional footballer.
We will see if Klopp can bounce back.
Who will win ?
I think at the moment it looks like it could be Manchester City. They have a very good team. But United also has a good chance.
