July 6, 2017-
Lawyers for tennis star Venus Williams won an emergency protective order in a fatal crash that killed a man. A hearing has been set for Friday in the case. Lawyers representing the man killed in the accident in which Venus was said to have caused wanted to have a independent inspection of the vehicles. Venus William's lawyers disagreed and asked a judge to stop the independent inspections. Venus was driving her Honda SUV across a 6 lane roadway, she got got caught halfway when traffic in front of her slowed down. The car driven by the victims who t-boned into Venus' SUV had the right of way at the time of impact. Jessie Barson was killed two weeks after the accident occurred and Venus was never ticketed or charged with any crime. After her first round match up at Wembledon Venus was very emotional. You can see below. Well it looks like it was just a bad accident in which she tried to make it across a large intersection only to get caught up in the middle. Accidents happen, she will have to live with it for the rest of her life. As for the family, they will get something out of this deal but the real winners in it all will be the lawyer who represent both parties.
