Washington nationals made it a series by beating st Louis Cardinals in the fourth game.

Washington, who beat the Los Angeles Dodgers in the division series, advanced to the world series.

Washington made it to the World Series in a four-game victory over St. Louis 7-4 in the fourth leg of the National League Championship Series at Washington's National Park on the 16th.

Founded in 1969 as the Montreal Expose and renamed in 2005 as Washington's site, Washington was the first in the National League for the first time in 50 years.

This season, Washington, who beat Milwaukee in the wildcard decision in the East League second place and beat the Western Dodgers in the division series, won the Central League first place in the championship series and reached the best of the major league world series.

This is the first time since the 2014 championship team San Francisco that the Wild Cards have entered the World Series in the National League.
