Lions over Bears - Bears on the rise BUT too late (SportSteem NFL)
I'm bullish on the Bears long-term (perhaps without John Fox) but the Lions have been underperforming this season and so I expect them to handle the Bears when Chicago comes to Detroit.
I'm seeing -4.5 so I like Stafford (despite some injury questions he's fully participating in practice) to light up the Bears. Golden Tate is an underrated WR1, and with Jones and some pass-catching RBs like Riddick, they'll be good enough against the Bears.
The Bears passing offense doesn't match up well against anyone, though the Lions are weak defensively, and if it wasn't for Jordan Howard I'd be surprised to see anything other than FGs from the Bears on Saturday.
I thought about sitting this game out, and although I'm a believer in the Bears of tomorrow, I'm a believer in the Lions today.
Lions to cover.
