Thank you @cabelindsay I appreciate your comments, with the embossment i have my own stecil of the flower of life and i use a thick gesso in the canvass before painting
What a great idea, thanks for sharing your secret. I love that symbol so much and to me it's one of the most challenging in all of sacred geometry to draw up, so yeah a stencil makes great sense. I like to incorporate the star of David symbol (much simpler than the flower of life but still requires precision) into mandala artworks, and your stencil method will help me out a lot, I'm thinking. Thanks again.
