Spring Time Prepping

With Spring just arriving and things thawing out in the back yard, I’m preparing to start planting the first half of our new garden. I’m planning on growing things that are pretty easy to grow like lettuce, spinach, and broccoli, as well as potatoes, carrots, and a few stalks of corn to see how it will do here. I will also be hooking up a rain barrel (55 gallon drum) to the rain spout on the house to help gather water and to help water the garden. I’m also playing with the idea of composting.
