BARCELONA EXTENDS POINTS WITH GETAFE WIN

Barcelona open the year with a victory over Getafe in the Spanish Laliga. The show went down on Sunday night at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez stadium in Spain.
The matches ended in favor of the Laliga League table. Lionel Messi opens the scored line in 20th minute of the match, the Argentina star scored his first goal of the year with style.
Nineteen minute later, Luiz Suarez stepped up to double Barcelona lead. The striker made it two for Barcelona six minutes before the end of the first half. Victory looking secured for the visitors Getafe striker Mata scored in the 43rd minute. The late first half goal reduced pressure as the host looked determined to get at least a point from the match. At half time, it was 2-1 in favor of the visitors.
The second half kicked off, it was an entertaining half but no goal was recorded throughout the second half.
Barcelona is now five point clear on the League above Atletico Madrid. The League leader now prepare for their clash against Levante in the Copa Del Rey tournament on the 10th of January 2019.
