I want someone to design and auto-buy. So I can just tell it, take 100 dollars a month and buy. And then I can forget about it. And have an ever-increasing supply.
Hey @antic, how hard would that be to set up as a maybe extension that would automatically transfer some cash to coinbase, buy BTC, then send it to bittrex, exchange it for Steem, either setting a limit buy or meeting a market order, then when it fills, sending it to your steem address (maybe with an option to send a tiny percentage to the creator voluntarily as a thank you for creating the useful tool)

There’s a little trickiness with integration on bittrex. The Coinbase API is simple. You’d have to setup an auto buy/deposit on Coinbase to get the funds in each week/month/interval, and then the app could transfer the BTC to Coinbase pro to avoid outgoing transfer fees to bittrex. I haven’t looked into automation on Bittrex.

Yeah. Everybody on Steem talks about how buying steem with fiat will be a wonderful leap, and sure, it would, but there are more hurdles to setting up an exchange that allows fiat to steem, I'd think, than would be required to merely automate most of the elements of the current process.

I agree. It will make steemian easy to mak transaction. Although for users of non-dollar money, you still have to do the exchange rate. But that will give a easier and shorter way
