Steemit inc. does not have manpower to work on this. It's all SMTs now.

But you probably need some very skilled developer to code, test etc. Although you're right, the witnesses should already discussing it...
That's true, but we have steem Dao for such purposes, after all if we won't support proposal that'll make our economy sustainable, I don't know what should we vote for in the first place
