Though it was yesterday but it feels
like aeons have passed, the memory of
our first kiss still lingers through my
thoughts like the cloud floating
through the sky aimlessly, can I ever
forget it? We had shared many things
dreams, goal, moments, created beautiful
memories that nothing can ever replaced.

We did things we never liked doing
just for to spend moments with each other
you taught me a whole lot, my life
came alive with you like a flower
blossoming. I felt bubbles of joy anytime
I stare at your pictures on my phone.

Can I ever forget your smile? Impossible!
Nothing beats it, I still spend minutes
starring at your smile every morning
what we had was fantasy turned reality
worth every second of it, cherished
right to the end of time.

It all went well but just like Adam
and Eve in the garden of Eden, the
serpent came in the form of distance
riding on the chariots of
misunderstanding and now this
am nothing more than just a tiny
dot of memory in your thoughts
a mirage once lived, a fantasy outlived
like an oasis dried up by the monstrous
sands of the desert, my joy vanished
loneliness and depression had a filled
day like African kids enjoying the rains
I became a loner, rejected by love and
put away by happiness.

Today, I write to you of my best
moments lived, moments spent loving
you. I hope you still remember too
