The Building Blocks of my steem journey: Reporting from the hub.

in #stach7 years ago (edited)

Today the 18th is a sunny day here in the garden city of Port Harcout, Nigeria where dreams still do come true. I'm at the hub today where I decided to chill and catch up with the recent happenings and stuff, I could recall my early days here @stach hub PH.
When I joined this steem family late September 2017, it was almost like "dude! In for another joke?". So even though my profile reads "joined September ", it wasn't until later in October I came to the hub specifically for my introductory post.

Now my first impression that day was "wow! Can any good thing come out of this? What's the real story here, when are they gonna let the cat out of the bag?". Not letting the pessimist in me own the day, I gave heed to the words of wisdom and advice coming forth from our able Rabii

The possibility of becoming independent, self reliant, productive and educated in the process caught my attention.
Some how, if I gave myself to learning and training my mind with patience enough, my reward would come. These concepts seemed easy (so I thought) but in actuality, on required a little more than mere wishes.

Steemit is a reflection of our commitment to life.
One cannot expect to reap from whence he did not sow. Sowing in the form of time and dedication to process of growth on this platform.

Now at the stage I am on steemit, I see myself in the light, the light of possibilities that can only be limited by the sight of my mind.
The mind, funny how it works.... If left untamed or uncultivated soon is overrun by weeds and dirt eventually spewing out the undesired circumstances we face in life. In a space of 3hrs here at the hub, I've gotten priceless knowledge from the book "As a man thinketh" borrowed form a fellow steemian.
So far , I've come to realize that being available alone (ie consciously creating a mind space to learn) is a good sign one is ready for a change. And when the mind is ready to receive good, it inadvertently produces the desired end we could ever wish for.

Steemian @tekadii here reporting from the PH stach hub with @oghie, holding the fort as our Rabii @ejemia is away on serious steem business. 😉

I enjoyed this post! My best of it is your thought on commitment "Steemit is a reflection of our commitment to life.
One cannot expect to reap from whence he did not sow. Sowing in the form of time and dedication to process of growth on this platform." I ABSOLUTELY AGREE! I just followed you and I'm looking forward to reading from you. Cheers!

Thank you, your comment means alot.

Awwwww... And I would have been there with you oh..... It's a good thing you discovered somethings for yourself.

Your post could as well have been describing my initial thought.
