Glory to God

All praise and thanks to God the benevolent and merciful, the one who gave us life and continually gives us freely. we are appreciating the body of lhmls for their kind intervention during the week towards the just concluded Students’ union election that was held on 13th of June. Our HMLs had at a time reached out to us for assistance in mobilizing towards the election and it was indeed a thing of joy that we did not throw away their requests.

Today, we are glad with the results of the election as we reclaimed back the presidency and the megaphone of the union(p.r.o). Though the victory did not come as a surprise due to the acceptability of our candidates in the election, what was suprising is the fact that we only won 2out of the possible 10. How candidates like opakan, younglammah etc did not emerge still remains a mystery to us because we are confident that eligible Liberal soldiers who voted at the election was closing on 1000. Rather than apologizing to ladokites for the low level of turn out witnessed due to intimidation and harassment of willing voters who had trooped out for LAUREL, the electoral chairman and his goons were busy with blame games alleging manipulations from Liberal Movement hackers. The joy that permeated the lautech space that is not strange to a Liberal victory is an expression of happiness by Lautech community who have attached peace, progress, excellent performance and intellectual agitations with the Liberal ideology. As Lhmls we must therefore deliberate on ways to transfer those expectations into achievements to ensure a continued acceptance from all and sundry.

The house election took place but we did not have the required number to put up a challenge, this is now the new assignment the HMLs have taken up to ensure they upturn this in the next departmental elections.

We have started making deliberations on how to ensure that the vagabonds conduct the swearing in as soon as possible once they release their Lord Emperor from Iyaganku. We want to implore all Lhmls who have a relationship with the DSA to please reach out to him in solidarity against the various write ups against his person on the recent arrest of some notable members of the NLV who were involved in disturbing the peace of the school. We should note however that there was nothing he did to ensure our victory, infact, he made moves that reduced our winning margin.

The HMLs appreciated our gestures and they showed their appreciation for the intervention, they however made requests concerning the liberal movement stickers. They want to produce stickers for every member of the movement and they are hoping any lhml can produce such for them.

We look forward to a glorious reunion with our HMLs.
