Hi steemians, I just wanted to share with you how great our activity yesterday was. It was a Culmination Program on Contemporary arts in which students were tasked to create a full production with costume and props and organize it by themselves. These are grade 11 students, they are around 16-17 years old and, my gosh, they handled it great. Oh, and also their stories were their original (but of course with inspirations from movies, etc.) composition.

But before we go to their stories, they alho held an art exhibit, all art works made by them:

St. James

So the first performer was the St. James

Their story was entitled Marawi, so obviously their inspiration was the battle in Marawi. It's a fictional story of a family whose three sons trained to join the military and was sent to Marawi where there one was injured and wasn't sent to a mission where the other 2 got killed. It still had a happy ending, where the remaining brother got an award.

Next to perform was the St. Jerome

Their story was inspired by the LGBT community in which there is a guy with a girlfriend who thought he was cheating on him but reality was he had many 'girl' friends. When his father found out he almost killed him by drowning him in a pail of water. But still he decided to continue with his Miss Gay competion in whuch there he touched his father's heart when he answer his question 'Why did he join the contest?' With this he answered that he wanted to support his family.

Next up was my advisory class and the winner of the theater (yeap, they claimed both exhibit and theater) St. Joseph

Their story was musical magical story. It's a story of four friends who's lives was differently miserable, one had a mom who always hurt her because of just being pretty but low grades. One had the riches but who's parent didn't accept him fully as gay and didn't accept his calls. Another had no parents, and was under the care of his paternal aunt who always saw only his flaws even if he was very intelligient. Lastly, was a boyish girl who fell in love but was rejected because she was more of a boy than him.

So, they one wished to be smart, one wish to have family, one wished to be pretty and one wished to be a real girl. Their souls got switched and they found out that life always had flaws. They each tried to change the life of the body they have and in the end they succeeded.

Last to perform was the St. John, thid was the second placer. They had really strong content.

It was a family's story whose mother went outside the country to work and when she did their father fell ill. She went home but little did they know that they she was ill, when she died they all were devastated two of the siblings who were gay were fighting over one boy, the boyish got into drugs, their youngest got pregnant at a very early age. Only one sibling became responsible. When their father discovered everything he attacked them all, when he did he fainted. Leaving them all to realize their fault. All was happy when they moved on.

So that wa the end of their theatrical play. I hope to you enjoyed my post. Here's a dramatic selfie to show my gratitude.
