Last week, Saturday was my best day of the week. This was the day the Steemians National Meetup fell. All through the weeks, I had been looking forward to this event. It took place at the UBA Mini Stadium. The weather was just perfect as it was sunny with a soft breeze.

I was the only one who had come so early to the stadium. After a long time, many people started to come one by one. I saw many familiar faces around me. They were my friends whom I had made on Steemit, an online community where we share our thoughts and ideas. I very excited to finally meet them all in person. We greeted each other with big smiles and warm hugs.

Different activities had been set up for us by the organizers. It was a meetup initiated with some speech from steemit admin and moderators like @ngoenyi, @goodybest, @bonaventure24, @benton3 @xkool24, @sahmie and all other of our steemians friends. Entertainment, discussions, gifts, and even a photo booth-there was everything to keep the participants engaged. I took a lot of pictures and videos with my Steemian friends and recorded it for memory. We posed for some beautiful scenery, capturing memories to last a lifetime. Every photo reminded us of how much fun and laughter we shared.

The most wanted moment was when we all came together for a group photo. People were so happy and enthusiastic; making funny faces, doing silly poses. just pure joy. Then after taking those photos, we went for a picnic. Shared food, shared stories, and shared laughter. Like a big family reunion sort of thing.

Throughout the day, I realized that this meetup was special, in any case, it was different. It was not just about the games or taking pictures. It was the connections we have built, in that moment, with my friends. Meeting my online friends face-to-face brought our connection to a much higher level. We discussed our journey on Steemit, plans, and aspirations. All these sharing of stories inspired me very much.

The meetup finally came to an end with a small dance ceremony. There were thank-yous for everyone, and some gift distributions. I received a beautiful notebook with the Steemit logo on it; it was a perfect souvenir of the day.

It has been the best day of my week because, I was able in getting closer to friends in the Steemians National Meetup. Meeting them in person, taking pictures, and sharing stories are just so unforgettable. That reminded me how important it is to be in a community and how connections can be so strong. I left the spot with a heart full of happiness and a camera full of memories.
