The Diary Game || SCHOOL ENGAGEMENTS AND PICKING UP GARRI FOR THE HOUSE || 16/02/2026

It's always amazing sharing how my engagements every day went. I bring you greetings from the city of Uyo in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. I guessed you are doing fine from wherever you are.

A greater part of my day was spent in school where I doubled as a chaplain and part-time teacher, covering the space of the computer teacher who left the school and the management is yet to fill the vacancy. The next point of interest of my day was getting the garri that my wife had placed an order for a few days ago. As you read down, you will enjoy as the reports unfold.

Morning Devotion

Rising from the bed from a tap comes from the soft and romantic palm of my wife. This time for prayers and getting my son prepared for school and myself going to teach as the closing of the second term draws near.

We used the family altar of the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria for the morning devotion. The topic was “THE NEED FOR INTERCESSION” drawn from 2 Thessalonians 3:1-5 while the memory verse was captured in Ezekiel 22:30 which says

So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.

To every religion, prayer is not an option but a necessity. All the anointed prophets prayed, Jesus Christ prayed, therefore we must pray always and intercede for the well-being of others. If the government must do well, we must pray. Do you talk to God before your action against man?

The action we must take is to learn to pray beyond yourself, looking out for the needs around you needing God's attention, and praying for the general progress of yourself and others.

After the prayer, I quickly bathed my son, as I was ready too. I dropped him off at his school area and rushed to my place of assignment. I joined the devotion and I was there before 7:45 am. After the school assembly, I started with Primary 2 which was available taught until about 9 am. The next class was Transition but they were occupied with another teacher, so I had to wait.

Returning to my office, I checked on other classes where we stopped from my notes on lessons. About 10:15 am, the Transition Class was free and I taught them, and next was Primary 1 before going to Primary 4. It was already afternoon. At about 1 pm, the Primary 3 class was not ready, therefore I moved to Primary 5 and gave them notes until 1:40 pm. After the class, I was tired and I was in my office until closing time, at 2:30 pm.

When I got home, I needed something light, and I had to get myself some noodles prepared with ripe plantain. The stomach was made alive after eating and digesting it with chilled water from the freezer. Not long after I finished eating, I fell asleep with my phone in my hand playing music.

My wife had told me that the garri that she ordered would come and I got the number of the driver, called him and he told me until evening.

About 5 pm, I received a call from the driver asking about the location where I would stand and wait for him. I stood at Ewet Offot Bus Stop and he arrived a few minutes after the call, and the garri was delivered to me.

Later in the evening, I cooked rice and made fresh tomato sauce. I prefer this sauce to frying stew. It was yummy and we had that S our dinner and went to bed after listening to the news and the prime minister of Israel giving conditions of making peace with Iran. That “they will not be allowed to build nuclear weaponry and others posting threats to Israel and the entire Middle East.
