Good evening all friends. A good opportunity for me to get to know this great Community Steem Cameroon. Because there is a great program from Steemit, namely the Steemit Engagement Challenge, it makes me very happy to be among all of you here in this great Community.

This is the first week of Engagement Challenge 4th season and I got an interesting theme here about Cyber ​​Bullying and I will tell you a little about Cyber ​​Bullying that happened in my country, Indonesia, even though this incident has happened all over the world.

It is very nice to see the development of telecommunications and information technology in this digital era which makes it easier for us all to interact with each other, but it is also very unfortunate that due to the development of this technology there is a negative effect with the number of Cyber ​​Bullying that occurs in all countries, not apart from our country, Indonesia is also happening even worse to enter the world of Politics, slander each other and make hate speech between groups of people, so that there had been social unrest in Indonesia in recent years as a result of Cyber ​​Bullying.

At the social level of teenagers or among children, Cyber ​​Bullying is even more violent. Many teenagers who get attacks on their hate speech end up giving up and some even end up killing him because they can't face it.

Currently in Indonesia there is an identity crisis due to Cyber ​​Bullying, from the results of surveys and research from a Government Agency in Indonesia, almost 27% of teenagers in Indonesia have experienced Hate-Speech, 43% have received Hoax and Fraud information and 13% have received discrimination. .

This phenomenon is very scary especially among our teenagers in Indonesia. Why Cyber ​​Bullying can be more cruel because Cyber ​​Bullying will leave digital traces such as photos, videos and also writing so that it will damage the psychology of teenagers who are mentally weak so they can be stressed and depressed.

My Explain about Cyber Bullying.

A little I want to explain, what is meant by Cyber ​​Bullying…? If we look from the field of Psychology, Cyber ​​Bullying is a crime that is done intentionally, such as doing slander, uttering harsh words, mocking with insults, committing harassment and making threats on purpose and then they spread it in social media.

It could be that this crime was intentionally committed because the perpetrator did not like someone so that the perpetrator intimidated others through cyberspace or it could be that the perpetrator carried out Cyber ​​Bullying for certain purposes such as planning to commit fraud or sexual harassment.

Above, I tried to explain a little of my understanding of Cyber ​​Bullying, I hope my friends can understand my explanation.

Then the big question is have I ever been a victim of Cyber ​​Bullying ?

Yes, my family and I have experienced this. At that time I was about 5 years ago, I was running for a member of the People's Representative Council in my City at the election event. During the campaign I was attacked via Facebooks and Whatsapp, people I didn't know made hate speech to me and my family by spreading slander and insults to me. They spread slander through social media, so I don't get support from the community. At that time, my wife cried when she got the slander. We don't know who did it.

I think Cyber ​​Bullying is happening a lot on social media such as Facebooks, Twitter, YouTube, Whatsapp and Instagram. Maybe that social media has a lot of users, so many bad people or often do Cyber ​​Bullying through the 5 social media that I mentioned above.

Is Social media like the Steemit Platform safe...?

I think the Steemit Platform is very safe. During the 5 years I joined Steemit, I have never found any information that here there have been posts or comments containing hate speech. The average Steemit user writes more about his own activities and about science, rarely do I find users writing bad things or writing bad things for other people.

There is a case of Cyber ​​Bullying that has occurred in Indonesia.

And this incident had gone viral in Indonesia, namely the case of a student named Amanda, aged around 16 years. It happened like this, there was an evil person who got acquainted through social media with Amanda, then somehow he asked Amanda to send a nude photo of himself to this criminal, then the innocent Amanda sent the photo, then this criminal blackmailed Amanda with the threat that the photo would be spread on the internet if it does not fulfill the wishes of these criminals. Finally the photo spread on the internet, this made Amanda desperate and depressed and then she committed suicide. This is a true story that has happened in Indonesia as a result of Cyber ​​Bullying.

In addition, I also try to explain a little about the types of Cyber ​​Bullying:

1. Flaming: a type of Cyber ​​Bullying when someone sends words of provocation, insults and ridicule so that people become angry.
2. Denigration: a type of cyber bullying, an act that is intentionally carried out to spread the badness of others through the internet or social media. Its purpose is to damage the good name of others.
3. Harassment: a type of Cyber ​​Bullying when someone intentionally harasses messages continuously, these messages are sent through social networks, the goal is to make other people do the same thing.
4. Cyberstalking: a type of Cyber ​​Bullying by looking for information or spying on someone continuously, so that person feels uneasy so that they become restless and scared.
5. Impersonation: a type of cyber bullying in which the perpetrators disguise themselves as other people to commit crimes, by sending bad messages, usually using fake accounts.

Stop Cyber ​​Bullying, we have to campaign this.

It is time for all of us to start carrying out the Stop Cyber ​​Bullying campaign, because the long-term effect on victims is not very good. The average victim of Cyber ​​Bullying will withdraw from socializing in their environment. A feeling arises within himself that the victim feels isolated in his environment. The further away the victim will be mentally and physically disturbed due to constant anxiety. It is very likely that the victim will despair, then become depressed and then commit suicide.

We should not take Cyber ​​Bullying lightly, because if we become victims the effects are very fatal, therefore we must all work hand in hand to campaign Stop Cyber ​​Bullying. As social humans we must be smart in using freedom in good association, and must help each other to remind each other and give advice to each other so that the perpetrators of Cyber ​​Bullying do not have the opportunity to commit crimes and enter our social world.

Also, if we find the perpetrators of Cyber ​​Bullying, we must both report to the police so that they can immediately get punishment for the crime of Cyber ​​bullying.
