Steem Cartoon : The Making of a Paradoxical Comic

This comic is created with a friend of mine. The initial idea of this comic is to make it into a 47 page full colour comic. The basic idea is about a boy's adventure into a realm of mystery. His presence into this realm is to save the world from the attack of enemies using an unknown weapon. I would like to share the techniques I used to make this comic and how I use the technique of digital colouring to create something that is a little uncommon.

The first process is to use the photoshop sotware and utilise the inking and lineart process. To create this process, the layer has to be separated first from the normal layer.

From the inking process I choose the right colour for the base colour and the entire page. This process will take some time because it will require a bit more care in the colour choice. It has to be remembered that the layer on the character and the background has to be first separated.

After getting the base colour that is suitable you can now focus on the location of the character's shadow. The process of placing the shadow is done by using multiply layer by using dark red and dark purple.

To make this visual comic softer, I turn to the colour black for inking and a more vibrant colour based on the entire colour scheme.

For the final touch, I will increase the mood on the visuals. This process I will user overlay layer to increase the contrast for and for the lighting I will use linear light layer. To balance the entire colour I will use hue saturation and colour balance.
