Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, Dhaka

The national mosque of Bangladesh is Baitul Mukarram Mosque. This is the largest mosque in our country which has been recognized as the national mosque of our country. This mosque was first offered the first Friday prayer in 1968.

Then it was gradually updated which was completely updated in 2008. This Baitul Mukarram Mosque is located in Old Paltan, Dhaka. In simple terms, it is located next to the Dhaka Secretariat. If you want to go here, of course you can use any public transport. This mosque is right on the opposite side of the road and can be seen from a long distance.

I visited this Baitul Mukarram Mosque a few days ago and it was my first time visiting this mosque. I spent the most peaceful moment of my life then. Thousands of people can pray inside the Baitul Mukarram Mosque at the same time, but there are separate prayer areas for women and men.

The front of this mosque is very beautiful to see, especially the upper front made of stone. The Allahu logo in front of it is very beautifully made of solid marble stone. Anyone from a distance will notice it and appreciate the beauty of God. Its structure is very beautiful.

There is enough space for praying inside. However, if you wish, you can also pray under the open sky. A huge space has been kept in the middle of the mosque where the Muslims can talk about their happiness and sorrow and everyone can pray together.

In front of the empty space that you can see here, there is a huge stadium. Various types of sports are played in this stadium, but the mosque next to it looks the most interesting. You can see a huge tower on the stadium from which flash lights are emitted. The length and width of this mosque are very large. There are separate open doors on the other side of the wall.

Let's now know about some of the important structures of this mosque. I was very impressed when I observed the structures from every angle of this mosque. The structure of the mosque was made in the style of the holy Kaaba in Mecca. You all know about the holy Kaaba in Mecca which is located in Saudi Arabia.

It is made in the style of that Kaaba. If you want to know about the shape of this mosque then I will say that the mosque is in the shape of a huge cube. But if you want to get this view, you have to watch the video made with a drone. Like a normal traditional mosque, it does not have a huge dome over the main prayer hall. But every structure inside this mosque is interesting.

There are different sections inside the mosque where prayers can be offered together. Inside, there are large pillars in the main sector that maintain the balance of the mosque. Although the architectural style has a touch of modernity, it also preserves the traditional principles of Mughal architecture. Some beautiful designs have been made on top with blue color.

Lighting setup has been done in each design so that it looks very beautiful at night. In the entire mosque complex, including the main hall and the veranda, about 40,000 worshippers can offer prayers at once. It is one of the largest mosques in the world. Fans, lamps, AC, etc. have been properly set up there. There is an electrical section in a specific place. Apart from that, the switch system of various devices has been kept there.

Thousands of people have chosen it as a perfect place to rest. There are two open spaces inside the mosque for light and air to enter. As a result, the interior environment is usually quite open and bright. Basically, there is a rest room at the back where everyone can sit and rest.

Since it is a national mosque in the city of Dhaka, all the worshippers come here and a huge space has been kept for them. There is seating arrangement in each place for rest. In addition, there is a separate prayer space for the disabled and sick. You can see a lane on the left side of the mosque where some poor people are lying and this is their residence.

When I went, it was noon. That's why we had to go to this exact place to pray and we were very happy because I was lucky enough to come and pray at the National Mosque of Bangladesh. This mosque has separate prayer facilities for women and a separate place for ablution.

Since there is a separate facility for women to perform ablution, men are not allowed to enter there. There is a separate ablution and bath facility for men and we entered there. A lot of water has been collected in the middle. If you wish, you can take water from there to perform ablution. There are also separate water taps from where you can sit and perform ablution.

You can see the second picture above, this is the first gate of the mosque. You have to enter through it. However, the picture below is considered the second gate of this mosque. Since this is a big mosque and all the people of Dhaka city can come here to pray, two big gates have been arranged here so that there is no crowd of people.

So finally I will say that this is a wonderful mosque and to calm down the sister, you should visit this mosque at least once. I have seen that many people from Bangladesh and abroad come to visit this mosque just because they love this mosque.
