SLC31-W1: Shop & Share Challenge - Visit a Small Local Shop

So friends, the shop I am talking about today is named Ujanvati Confectionery .Ujan Vati Confectionery, located in the Madhabdi School Market area of Narsingdi, is a well-known shop. It is primarily situated in the center of the Madhabdi market area, known as the Madhabdi School Market. Ujan Vati Confectionery is mainly a bakery and snacks shop, established around 2008.Here we get fresh cakes (for birthdays or festivals), various types of biscuits, cookies, and bread. Additionally, for evening snacks, there are fast food items like patties, rolls, and pizza slices or burgers. Various brands of chocolates, chips, candy, and dairy products such as yogurt or sweet packets are also available.

I chose this shop because this confectionery offers everything from daily use food items to children's formula milk, and it is quite renowned in Madhavdi. That's why I wanted to share it with you.I work at a school, and the confectionery is very close to it, so whenever I need to buy something, I head there after school. The behavior of the staff and the owner at this store is very good; they are very friendly and take great care of the customers. I really like their demeanor. All the products in this confectionary are of high quality and from good brands, and they also offer some discounts according to the products, which is reasonable. That's why I like and prefer this shop very much.

Here I have found many items for my daily cooking needs and food usage, which I often need to keep handy in my kitchen. Here, there are mainly items for children and some daily essentials. This store has a large collection of nutritious food for children or baby food. Health drinks and powders such as Horlicks and Tang Fresh Crispee are available, as well as various stages of milk packets and tins from the famous brand Nestlé. As a first solid food, different flavors of Cerelac are available (such as rice, wheat, mixed fruits, or vegetables). On the left side, there is a dishwashing scrubber or brush hanging, which is used for daily dishwashing tasks.

Two large refrigerators or freezers are filled with cold beverages and dairy products, including packaged juice, energy drinks, soft drinks, and water. There is an ice cream freezer, where various ice creams of the Savoy brand can be seen.,small cups of ice cream in vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry flavors.,there are Chocobar and various fruit-flavored stick ice creams, as well as packaged corner ice creams visible in one corner of the ice cream freezer.

I bought a soft drink from there which was a lemon drink because I went there in the afternoon and the temperature here was excessive heat. I was almost exhausted, so I tried to cool myself down by buying and drinking a cold drink.I paid in cash, so I couldn't show the payment receipt.

Payment method

They do not have a payment receipt system in their computer system; they accept cash and payments through some payment currencies in Bangladesh such as bKash, Nagad, Rocket, etc.

About the facilities and the workers

The confection has many types of facilities, such as sufficient lighting, a beautiful lighting arrangement, and a very good electricity supply that is available 24 hours. The staff here are very good; they are polite and helpful. Since this is adjacent to the main road, there is parking available here.

Ujan Bhati Confectionery has a bright future in a bustling area like Madhabdi School Market. A Facebook page could be opened within the Madhabdi area to start a home delivery service. Especially, cake delivery for birthdays or anniversaries could be a profitable medium. Keeping the shop's products organized and using bright white lighting would make the shop look more modern and attractive.
