How are you all? I hope you are well. I am also fine by the grace of Allah. Today, I have come to participate in the third week of the Steemit Challenge SLC-S27/W4, organized by the Honorable teacher @suboohi ma'am. She has brought us a delicious dessert, whose name is "Desserts From Eggs And Gelatin". I feel proud to participate in this challenge.

Why are eggs added to desserts? What kind of texture do they provide?

Eggs are an important ingredient in making desserts. They play a vital role in the texture, taste, and color of desserts. Here are some reasons why eggs are used in desserts.

  • Eggs help hold the ingredients in desserts together. This is especially important in cakes, cookies, and custards, as it gives them structure and prevents them from falling apart.
  • Eggs trap air when beaten. During baking, this air expands, helping desserts like sponge cakes or soufflés become light and fluffy.
  • Heating desserts thickens mixtures — for example, puddings and custards — by thickening the egg yolks. Eggs give desserts a smooth, creamy texture.
  • Eggs add moisture and fat (from the yolk), which makes desserts soft, tender, and rich in flavor.
  • Egg yolks provide a golden color and glossy finish to baked desserts, such as pastries or pies. This increases the appeal of the food.
  • The combination of the fat in the yolk and the protein in the egg whites makes cakes, muffins, and brownies soft and moist.

The respected teacher @suboohi ma'am has given two options for dessert making. Among them, I like the option of making pudding with eggs and milk. And I decided to make pudding with eggs. Before starting to make pudding, I am presenting its ingredients(

🍮Step:-01:-

  • First, I put 1 liter of milk in a clean pan. I heat the milk on a medium flame. I stir the milk occasionally so that it does not stick to the bottom of the pan.

Step:-02:-

  • After heating it like this for a while, when the milk thickens, I add the required amount of sugar in it.
  • And keep stirring frequently, so that the sugar in the pan will quickly mix with the milk.

Step:-03:-

  • I reduce a lot to let one liter of milk curdle. The milk becomes quite thick. Now I remove it from the stove and let it cool.

Step:-04:-

  • Now I will make caramel for the pudding. For this, I put another pan on the stove and put 5 spoons of sugar in the pan to make caramel, reduce the heat of the stove, and continue to cook and making sure that the sugar does not burn in the pan.
  • When the sugar melts and turns brown, I remove it from the stove and put a caramel mold in the bowl in which I will make the pudding. I have to change the bowl while it is hot, otherwise it will not be possible to change it.

  • Now I take another pan, take four eggs in it, and break them. And mix them well.

Step:-06:-

  • Now I add a spoon of vanilla essence there, mix it with the egg mixture.
  • Once everything is well mixed, I add the egg mixture to the condensed milk mixture and mix well again.

  • Now I prepare the pan in which I will make the pudding. And pour all the mixtures.

  • Now I put another pan on the stove, put a stand inside the pan, and add enough water there. Then I put the pudding mixture upright inside the pan.

Step:-09:-

  • Now I cover the mixture with a lid and also put the lid on the pan. Due to the double lid, the hot air inside cannot come out. And the pudding will be ready quickly.

Step:-10:-

  • I give the pudding time to cook on medium heat for about 30-35 minutes. Then I check whether the pudding is ready with the help of a toothpick.
  • When I see that there is no liquid on the toothpick, I can understand that the pudding is well-made.

Step:-11:-

  • Now I take the pudding pot out of the pot and let it cool. When it cools down, I use a knife to cut around the sides of the pudding and loosen the pudding, and put it on a plate.

I did not face any difficulty in making the pudding. The pudding is very easy to make. The ingredients are also very few, so it is possible to make the pudding very easily. Besides, I have made it several times in the past. My children like pudding made with eggs a lot. So today, when the respected teacher @suboohi ma'am suggested making pudding with two eggs and 1/2 liter of milk, I did everything as per her instructions, but doubled the main ingredients, milk and eggs. The reason for this is so that the children can enjoy their favorite food with satisfaction.
