We are a Muslim nation. We follow Islam. Our place of worship is a mosque. Similarly, the main place of worship for Hindu people is a temple. I have been searching for a very old mosque or temple for many days. In our neighboring district of Dinajpur, there is a Kantjiu temple covered with terracotta built in 1704. Today I will show you pictures of that temple and give a description of the temple.

How were the services and history both inside and outside? (With pictures + prices, videos

Kantajiu Temple is located about 20 kilometers north of Dinajpur city on the banks of the Dhepa River. This temple, which bears an unparalleled display of burnt clay painting art, is one of the most important architectural monuments of the subcontinent. So I went to see this Kantaju Temple a few days ago. And upon entering there, I saw an instruction board for people to know about the Kantaju Temple of the Department of Archaeology. Maharaja Prannath was a skilled ruler. He was also a religious man. He chose such a secluded forested place for the worship and worship of Sri Krishna. Because in ancient times, sages and sages also used to meditate in such secluded forests. In 1960, the Kantaju Temple was declared as a protected ancient monument by the government.

The temple that you can see now is located in an open field next to the Kantjiu temple. It was built at the same time. This temple is also quite old. It was established in 1610 by Raja Srimanta Dutta of the Dinajpur dynasty as the foundation of the dynasty. It lasted for three and a half hundred years. Dinajpur Raja Prannath of the dynasty started the construction of Sri Sri Kantaji temple at a place called Kantanagar. The construction of the temple was started in 1704 AD. Raja Prannath could not complete the work on this temple during his lifetime. So his son Ramanath completed the work of the temple in 1752 AD. do
