Hope you are all well. Today I am very happy to participate in a wonderful challenge organized by my respected @max-pro brother. The name of the challenge is Steemit Challenge Season 30 - Week 6: 24 Hours Travel Reporter :Service Provider Zone.In today's challenge, I will share with you the experience and facilities of one of my favorite service zones, Uttara Uttar Metro Station.

🚇 What kind of Service Provider Zone have you visited? Briefly introduce it.

Uttara is one of the planned residential areas of Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. Several metro stations have been built here to ensure easy transportation to important places in Dhaka such as Motijheel and other areas for the people living here. Uttara North Metro Station is one of them. Since I live in Uttara area, I use this station regularly. Its modern infrastructure, clean environment and orderly management really impressed me. This station was opened in 2022 and ushered in a new era in Dhaka's communication system.

✅How were the services and history both inside and outside? (With pictures + prices, videos)

The three-storey Uttara Metro Station has elevators, escalators and regular stairs on each floor for passengers to get on and off. Among these, elevators are mainly intended for the use of the elderly, sick and people with special needs. Escalators are open to passengers of all ages and are helpful in fast travel. On the other hand, regular stairs are mainly used as emergency exits or ways to enter and exit in case of emergency. These three modern systems ensure the comfort and safety of passengers.

Manual Ticket/Recharge Counter.

Vending Machine for Automatic Ticket

Uttara North Metro Station has a well-organized system for ticket collection and card recharge for the convenience of passengers. Passengers can collect tickets or recharge their balance automatically by standing in line at the counter or through the vending machine without any hassle. A detailed fare chart is provided next to the ticket counter, by which passengers can easily know the fare of their destination. To ensure quick service and save the time of others in the queue, it is requested to keep the equivalent amount of change from the counter. This precautionary measure helps the counter officials to issue tickets quickly and reduces the waiting time of passengers.

Platform seating.

Adequate seating arrangements have been made on both sides of the platform on the third floor of Uttara North Metro Station for the comfort of passengers. Passengers waiting for the arrival of the train or tired passengers after getting off the train can use this space to rest for some time if necessary. However, to maintain order on the platform, a specific time limit has been set for staying at the station. A passenger can stay inside the station for a maximum of one hour after punching the ticket. If this time limit is exceeded, a fine has to be paid for the extra stay. These rules and seating arrangements have been implemented mainly to control the flow of passengers and keep the transportation system fast and dynamic.

First aid Room.

Uttara North Metro Station is one of the busiest stations in the capital, where thousands of people travel every day. Keeping in mind this huge crowd of passengers, a special room has been designated as a first aid center on the second floor of the station to deal with their urgent health risks. This center ensures immediate service in case a passenger suddenly falls ill during the journey, suffers an unexpected accident on the stairs or elevator, or if someone falls unconscious at the station. The role of this room is very important in reducing major physical risks by providing advanced and rapid first aid.

Directions of the women compartment.

One of the most notable and commendable features of Dhaka Metrorail is the provision of special coaches reserved for women. The very first compartment of each train is reserved only for women passengers. This provision is clearly communicated to the passengers by the metro authorities through directional signs (as seen in the picture - pink signboards and arrows) right after entering the station. As a result, women passengers can travel very safely, comfortably and without any hesitation, avoiding the crowd.

Toilet

A highly developed and modern toilet facility has been provided on the third floor platform of Uttara North Metro Station to meet the needs of passengers. There are separate and safe facilities for men and women. A dedicated manager is always on duty to keep this important part of the station clean and usable. A nominal service charge or fee has been set to maintain the standard of the toilet and cover the cost of proper maintenance. This orderly management plays an important role in ensuring the comfort of the passengers as well as maintaining the cleanliness of the station.

Information Chart

A very effective information chart has been installed on the platform of Uttara Metro Station to provide proper guidance to the passengers. By looking at this chart, a passenger can easily understand which station he is currently at and what are the next destinations. Detailed information about the location of each station and route is presented here through a map. In addition, the 'do' and 'don't' tasks required for passengers while traveling at the station and in the train have been clearly displayed through various symbols. As this guide mentions what goods cannot be brought in and what rules must be followed for safety reasons, the travel of the general public becomes safer and more orderly.

ATM & CRM Machine.

To meet the urgent financial needs of the passengers traveling to Uttara North Metro Station, there are modern banking booth facilities inside the station. ATM and CRM machines of several major banks under the Central Bank of Bangladesh have been installed. As a result, passengers can withdraw or deposit money very safely at any time inside the station. Even if they do not have cash in hand during their journey, passengers can complete their travel and other purchases without any hassle by using these booths.

Fresh Super Mart.

Keeping in mind the modern lifestyle of the passengers, a new 'Fresh Super Mart' has been added to Uttara North Metro Station. Now, passengers can complete their daily shopping needs seamlessly from within the station, along with their commute.
