Pashra Pond, Mirzapur

This is a traditional pond that has been popular with everyone for the past few hundred years. This pond next to the landlord's house has now gained popularity as a tourist spot. The name of this pond is pashra pond.

The nameplate of the pond is beautifully made in front of the pond. It is said in history that those who lived in this landlord's house, especially the kings and queens who lived here, used to bathe in this pond and they used to spend their private time. That is why this pond is now so popular as a tourist spot for everyone.

To go to this pond, you must first come to Mahera town and from there enter the landlord's house. This pond is located on the north side. There is a beautiful gate in front of the pond through which you have to enter. There are many trees on the upper edge which is a special part of the natural beauty. A very nice breeze flows there, so it feels peaceful here on hot days.

I went to this pond with my friends and my cousins ​​to visit. We spent quite a while there, especially in the middle of the pond there is a circular area where you can sit and take photographs and spend special time. Hundreds of tourists gather here to sit and take pictures. However, pictures are taken serially because there is no shortage of tourists here.

Standing in the middle of the pond, you can see the fish in the pond and a huge canopy has been built here so that everyone does not get wet in the rain. As another special facility, there is an electric charging point where you can charge your phone in an emergency. Apart from that, there is a paper written there that it is prohibited to throw garbage in the pond.

There are some huge and beautiful gates on the south side of the pond through which one enters the middle of the pond. Besides, where there is a gate, there is a nice arrangement for sitting on both sides because many tourists come here and take pictures standing in front of the pond. So that everyone does not get tired while standing there, seating arrangements have been made there.

There are various shops on both sides where ice cream and other foods are sold. Sometimes the water in the pond decreases. When the rainy season comes, the pond becomes very watery. The beauty of this pond increases during the rainy season, but we went in winter, so there was little water there.

Many children come to this pond for entertainment, so there is a very nice section for them where there are some beautiful fish. There are small red colored fish of different species here which are very beautiful to look at and after a while they come and play in the water. Children love to see them and they like to play with the fish, so this section is kept very clean.

There are a few people as maintenance people in this pond who always keep this pond clean and feed the fish. However, if you want, you can feed the fish here. For this, you have to buy fish food from the shop next door. When you throw the fish food on the water, the red fish will come and play in front to eat the food, it is very nice to see.
