Assalamu Alaikum, friends. I hope you are all doing well; by the grace of Allah, I am doing well too. @steemitblog has organized a contest today centered around pets kept at home. Many of us enjoy keeping various types of pet birds as a hobby; we cherish these pets and hold them dear. While some people prefer keeping animals, others prefer birds.
Personally, I keep birds at home; I have been raising pigeons for many years. I am very fond of pigeons, and I especially love the sound of their cooing. When I feed them in the morning, they get excited and eagerly crowd around me for the food. Sometimes, I even have a bit of fun with them while holding the feed in my hand.

The pet birds and animals we keep at home are very beneficial to us; the calls of birds, in particular, refresh our minds. In the morning, the gentle cooing of pigeons wakes us from our sleep, and hearing those sweet sounds brings a sense of peace. The squabs (baby pigeons) look absolutely adorable, and watching them gradually learn to fly is a truly delightful sight.
Occasionally, I cook and eat squab, as it is highly nutritious. It is also wonderful to watch the pigeons playing with one another. I enjoyed feeding my male and female pigeons together, and as a hobby, I have placed small rings on their legs.

I have a total of two pairs—meaning four pigeons—at my home. Among them, there are two males and two females. They live together. A shelter has been built for them slightly above the ground. There are separate containers for their food, as well as a separate plastic vessel for drinking water and bathing.
The male and female pigeons always share the same shelter. Occasionally, one male pigeon fights with another. Sometimes, I scatter wheat in front of my house for them to eat; I even recorded a short video while they were feeding.

Keeping pet birds is a hobby of mine; I raise them out of a genuine passion. Like many others who keep pets, I always prioritize their care and administer medication to ensure they remain healthy and free from illness; their well-being is paramount. I make a constant effort to keep my pigeons clean, providing them with plenty of water for bathing and administering monthly medication.
In the morning, when they leave their coop, they fly straight to me in front of the house for food. They are playful and often land right on my hand, though they are usually too timid to eat from my hand while inside the coop. I had scattered some food on the ground inside so I could take photos when they came close.

I have shared some moments featuring my pet birds with you all. Raising pigeons at home keeps the mind refreshed, and everyone enjoys their sweet cooing. This is a wonderful competition where we can see and learn about everyone's pets and birds.

Lovely post about your pigeons! You can really feel how much affection and care you have for them. I especially enjoyed the part about how they come flying toward you in the morning when they know it is feeding time. It must be such a beautiful feeling when they recognize you and even land on your hand.
I have budgie parrots and I absolutely adore them. One thing I find especially adorable is how they have their own little ways of telling me what they want. Whenever they are hungry or want something, they often sit on their food plate and keep chirping until they get what they are asking for.
As a pet parent, I can completely understand how special these little actions are. They may seem like very small things to others, but when you spend time caring for birds, you slowly learn to understand their different sounds, habits, and expressions. These little moments create such a beautiful bond between a pet and its owner.
Having four pigeons, with two males and two females, sounds like a lively little family at home. I also liked how you have arranged their shelter, food, drinking water, and bathing area. It shows that keeping pets is not only about enjoying their company but also about taking responsibility for their health and comfort. Hola amigo, las aves son increíbles. Hace algunos años, por la zona en la que vivo habían muchísimas palomas y siempre hacían una parada para comer o beber de lo que pudieran, la verdad era que me encantaba verlas. Lamentablemente, algunos vecinos comenzaron a colocarle trampas para atraparlas y con el pasar del tiempo, se fueron y tengo mucho que no veo una cerca.
Se notan que están muy bien cuidadas contigo, y que puedo que puedas disfrutar de la dicha de tenerlas cada mañana. Mucha suerte en tu participación, saludos ❤️

Hace muchos años mi abuela tenía muchas palomas, yo era un niño y cuando la visitaba me divertía. Ella les echaba el alimento y las palomas se aglomeraban, yo aprovechaba y agarraba a alguna para hacerle cariño y luego la volvía a soltar. Fueron momentos maravillosos.
Cabe destacar que las palomas convivían muy bien con las gallinas y con los gallos, eso me asombraba.

Ver qué cría palomas sin tener que amarrarla es muy asombroso, ya que por sus alas ellas buscan siempre volar y es que su naturaleza es ser libre.
