I am @saifuddinmahmud from Bangladesh. There is a beautiful and amazing challenge. The challenge name is SLC-S29/W1 | Mind & Learn: The Psychology Journey "Control Your Emotions". The challenge organised by @memamun. I hope everyone likes my post.

We dream of doing and achieving new things every day. Sometimes these dreams come true and sometimes they don't. Then we become emotional and depressed. Therefore, we should all control our emotions in any situation.

Task-01

Journaling, write your emotions and negative thoughts in a diary, express your thoughts.

Dreams, Reality and Decisions: From Emotion Control to Career Success.

Story

I completed my secondary education in 2011. I was very good in English since my school days. I spoke fluent English, could read and was very good in grammar. I always got very good marks in English. Compared to that, I was average in mathematics. So I always dreamed that I would get a higher degree in English and become a good English teacher. But after my secondary education, my father admitted me to the Polytechnic in Electrical Engineering. There I saw that every subject was full of mathematics. I was very disappointed. But since I had to study engineering, I tried to improve myself in mathematics. But I could not be completely successful because some people have some internal weaknesses that they cannot recover from. Even then, I continued to try and completed engineering. But I studied all the time and I was disappointed in myself. If I had obtained a higher degree in English, I could have done better.

In 2015, I got a job 1 month after giving the Diploma Engineering final exam. But my results were not out yet. I successfully passed the interview for a fresher engineer and joined the workplace. Later, I completed B.Sc. Engineering along with the job.

My thoughts

When I got a job quickly, I felt that in the context of Bangladesh, it is a matter of completing my honors, finding a job and then establishing my career. In comparison, I was able to start my career much faster because of my diploma in engineering. While many of my friends were disappointed with their studies and careers at that time. However, if I had been emotional and forced my father to do honors in English that day, I might have delayed my career development and might not have been successful. But because of accepting my father's decision and controlling my emotions, I was able to develop my career much faster. So from here I realized that no matter what situation arises in life, accept it without getting disappointed and move forward accordingly. So now, no matter what situation I face, I know how to deal with it.

My Lessons

I have learned from this journey of my life that things may not turn out as you want them to. So don't get discouraged and control your emotions. Because controlling emotions is the key to making good decisions. There is no single path to success, so if you don't succeed in one path, don't get discouraged and search for another path. Don't give up and adapt yourself to the situation. Above all, have faith in the great creator.

We constantly run after our dreams. Sometimes it is successful and sometimes it is unsuccessful. When we fail, we become emotional and get depressed. So to recover from all these moments in our life, we should read some books that will teach us to control our emotions and be free from depression.

So I read this book regularly. The name of this book is La-Tahjan which means do not get depressed. By reading this book, I have learned to believe without getting depressed and accept the situation and move forward. From here I have learned to control emotions and increase mental strength. When we do not get any desired thing, we become emotional and make various wrong decisions. So from this book I have learned how to be successful in life without getting depressed.

I have read the book. Every page of this book has many important things written on it. Every topic and page of the book is written on how to control emotions and avoid depression. It is also written here to control the emotions of the mind. Whoever can control his emotions at any time, happy and free from danger, can achieve peace, tranquility, comfort and victory.

Wrong

The mistake that everyone had in this story was their lack of humanity and sense of responsibility. Powerful people kept fighting for their power, which resulted in civil war, which later led to famine for the common people.

Harun Chowdhury was excessively greedy, so he broke the agreement and increased the price of food. As a result, he took advantage of the helplessness that was created among the people and seized the land and property of the people.

Kibria Ahmed stood with the common people, but there was a lack of rigor and monitoring in implementing the agreement.

The common people remained silent for a long time, so injustice became stronger.

What should have been done

Powerful people should have stopped the power struggle at the beginning of the crisis and unitedly faced the famine. Any kind of agreement should have been strictly implemented and legal action should have been taken against the violators. Kibria Ahmed should have stopped the opportunity for betrayal through leadership. Doctors should have treated his son because his son is not responsible for his father's misdeeds. Common people should have protested against injustice from the beginning.

My thoughts

We have a lot to learn from this story. The famine is the result of people's greed and power struggle. Unjustly acquired wealth cannot provide any security. Humanity, emotion control, mutual sympathy are the only way to deal with any crisis.

5 methods that I adopt to control my emotions

  • Pause & Breath

First, when I get emotional, I try to calm myself down and take a breath.

  • Identify the emotion

I identify why I am disappointed. I find out what made me disappointed.

  • Understand the trigger

I try to understand the situation.

  • Respond, no react

I control my emotions, be thoughtful and try to behave according to the situation. I don't immediately get emotional and do something that will cause me harm.

  • Reflect & Learn

Think about my own experience why it happened, where I went wrong and what went wrong. Analyze and learn from those thoughts.

Don't be sad is my favorite book that I have read in the past. In fact the book give us hope when their is hopeless and helpless. I wish you success
