Today I went to a famous sweet shop located in Madhabdi called Pipaasa Sweetmeat. Pipaasa Sweetmeat (Messrs Pipaasa Mishtaan Vhaandar) is a well-known sweet shop in the Narsingdi district's Madhabdi. There is no specific date or year known for when Pipaasa Sweetmeat or Pipaasa Mishtaan Vhaandar was established, but I have seen it from a very young age. However, locally it is quite old and has been recognized as a popular sweet shop for several decades. Generally, in older commercial areas like Madhabdi, such popular sweet shops pass down through generations.

Pipasa Sweetmeat is one of the oldest and most traditional sweet shops in the Madhavdi area. It was established several decades ago and has primarily been managed by the family. Since Madhavdi was a small commercial center, it became a trusted name among locals for quality sweets and yogurt. The taste of the pure chhana sweets made by the original artisans has contributed to its current popularity. There is a large signboard in front of the shop that reads 'Pipasa Sweetmeat' or 'Messrs Pipasa Mishtaan Bhandar.Inside, there is a simple seating arrangement with tables and chairs for customers to enjoy sweets, yogurt, or snacks.

The interior of the shop has a cozy and traditional sweet shop atmosphere. Generally, there is a constant flow of customers from morning to night.

The day's work begins in the factory. Fresh milk collected from nearby villages is gathered. The workers or artisans start boiling the milk to make chhena and begin the initial process of making sweets for the day. Fresh sweets are displayed in the shop. During this time, there is mainly a crowd for breakfast. Local businesspeople and passersby gather for yogurt, sweets, and hot luchis and bhajis. The afternoon is the busiest time for the shop. Since Madhabdi is a large commercial area, businesspeople hang out here during breaks and enjoy sweets or snacks. Hot jalebis or special sweets sell the most during this time.

Inside, there are many kinds of sweets beautifully arranged in separate plates.

In the fridge, there are yogurt, rasmalai, mishti doi, etc. stored.
