| Chana dal | Half cup |

| Chopped coriander leaves | 3 teaspoon |
| Mustard oil | 2 teaspoon |
| Chili powder | Half teaspoon |
| Turmeric powder | Half teaspoon |
| Cumin powder | Half teaspoon |
| Coriander powder | 5 pinch |
| Cardamom | 2 piece |
| Cinnamon | 2 piece |
| Clove | 2 piece |
| Black pepper | 4-5 piece |
| Bay leaf | 2 piece |
| Ginger & garlic paste | 1 teaspoon |
| Oil | As per quantity |
| & salt | As per taste |
To make Shami Kabab, first I soaked the chana dal in water for about 4-5 hours, so that the chana dal would soften a little and swell. Then I washed them well and took them in a bowl.
Now I will take the chana dal and beef in a pan. Then one by one I will add chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, ginger-garlic paste, black pepper, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, bay leaves, mustard oil and salt to taste. Mix them well together and add enough water to cook them. Here I have cut the beef into small pieces so that it cooks quickly and since I don't have black pepper powder, I have used whole black pepper.
Now I will put the pan of chana dal & beef on the stove and cook them well. I will continue to cook until they are cooked well, the meat is cooked and the water dries up. Once cooked, I will remove them from the stove and separate the whole spices that are in them. Now I will take them in a blender jar and blend them well.
Once blended, I will pour the meat and chana dal mixture into a clean container. Now I will add chopped onion, chopped green chili and chopped coriander leaves in it and also add an egg. Then I will mix them together well with the help of hands. Once well-mixed, I will shape them into round kebabs.
Now I will put a pan on the stove and add some oil to it and wait until the oil gets a little hot. Then I will slowly put the kebabs in the oil and fry them until they turn golden brown. Once they are fried, I will take them out in a bowl. That's it, our Shami Kebab is ready so easily.
