THE MAGIC OF SISTERHOOD

A sip in your favorite tea shop is best when you shared it with your sister. Every noise of the tea, lick on your tongue and the laughter that you both shared. It only signifies that it is a reminder of pure love and joy.

It was a bright sunny day right after the devastating typhoon Tino hit the whole province of Cebu, me and my sister together with our lovely daughters wanted to unwind after the traumatic experience that killed more or less 200 people in Cebu plus the missing individuals. Its not about the typhoon that killed most of them but because of the massive flooding that followed.

We were all ready to face the typhoon, we prepared our basic needs, we fix our houses, we bought flashlights, chargable fan and the like. Yes we survived the typhoon but because of the floodwaters rose rapidly that it almopst reached the second floor of the houses leading to numerous cases of drowning.

Sad but thats reality, this heartbreaking tragedy reflects how we neglected our environment. One of the factors are the flood control controversial plus killing the mountains which will somehow protect us from any typhoon. But because of what people did, they cut the trees and build some buildings, during the typhoon it causes landslide and flooding. May the tragedy caused by the typhoon serves as a wake up call --- a reminder that we should protect and nurture our natural resources especially the trees in the mountain. They need us to be taken care because in the future we will be needing them as well as our future generation.

So much for that, lets go back to my story.

We went to our favorite milk tea station just nearby to create moments and to unwind us and to move forward. This simple bonding create a lifelong bond and good memories to cherish with our little ones. We had so much laughter and we build moments during that day. The kids as well enjoy the ambiance. Its cozy place made us relax plus their salivating cake tea.
